Mano amiga

Mano amiga was born on 10 January 2021. The night before, a storm hit the city and the temperatures were very low. With a small group of volunteers, we decided to go out and distribute hot soup and blankets to our friends on the street. Sakado

Since 2018, several schools, associations and numerous volunteers have come together to create a moment of love and solidarity for the homeless people of Barcelona. Every year, at Christmas time, we go out to hand out backpacks full of basic necessities to those in need. The project was born in 2018 thanks to a mother of the Lycée Français de Barcelona… 

Interviews to homeless people

More than 3,000 people live on the streets of the city of Barcelona. All these people have very different backgrounds and various reasons why they have ended up in their situation. However, they all have one thing in common: the living conditions they face on a daily basis. Unfortunately, our societal model does not facilitate their reintegration and this is when you can make the difference… 

Lana solidaria

Lana solidaria is a solidarity project that consists of knitting hats and scarves for homeless people in Barcelona. These are delivered during the deliveries organised within the framework of the Mano amiga project, another IURAA initiative. The project is mainly aimed at people in old people’s homes. However, anyone can take part in it…

All for Lesbos

The association IURAA, together with a private individual, has carried out the second edition of the project All For Lesvos, which involves sending a truck full of clothes, shoes and other basic necessities for refugees arriving in Lesvos, Greece. This truck arrived in Skala Sykamineas, a village located in the north of the Greek island, the closest area to Turkey, where a large majority of refugees arrive….
